Hawks descend on Arts ministry

Reported on Times Live ….and about time too. It has been a fairly open secret in the Arts industry that all has not been well with 2010 funding, and I suppose government had to wait until the World Cup was done and dusted before getting the investigation going. Don’t want to be party poopers and all. Although the internal investigation has been going on for a LONG while, frustrating that nothing has moved. Also a bit perturbing that the article makes reference to the “2007, 2008 and 2009? financial years….what about the 2010 financial year? I suspect that the rot runs far and wide, and the investigators shouldn’t be confined to just those three years, although it is a good start. Props to JZ and LX for getting this started – let’s hope it is a serious investigation and not a whitewash.
